Ratios are calculated for each of the four years financial results for each individual company. The ratios for each company are the best way to make comparisons between companies of different size. Industry average ratios are evaluated to act as benchmarks.
Trends are shown on graphs. The analysis is enhanced by the inclusion on each graph of industry average values for the various ratios and financial measures. Thus it is made simple to see whether a company is performing better of worse than the average which is provided as a suitable benchmark. Additional industry analysis is provided in the industry graph section of the report showing trading patterns and best practice industry averages.
Rankings of companies are provided by some 27 different financial measures. It is thus clear who is big, who is growing and who is finacially stable for example. The financial results of companies within the industry are analysed year by year so that it is easy to spot interesting trends and companies with unusual business models.
